Students registered on their 15 or 25 hours per week courses may attend their Wednesday revision class FREE OF CHARGE. (Limited places, first come first served!) See school noticeboards for details, or ask when you book.
Course Dates
Students may enrol to begin studying with us on any Monday throughout the year. We are open year-round, except for Bank holidays and the following holiday periods:
Easter (including Royal Wedding Day): 22 April 2011 - 2 May 2011 (school closed)
Bank Holidays: 30 May, 29 August 2011 (school closed)
Students may enrol with a minimum 5 days' notice (longer if accommodation is required), and study for as many weeks as required. Their course dates are flexible to meet your needs. State on your application form the required start date and the number of weeks you want to study and we will reserve a place for you, subject to availability.
Course Details
Group classes are suitable for all levels from elementary to advanced. Students are leveltestedat the start of their course and placed in the most appropriate group available for their level. Support classes are offered (where required), with 1:1 tuition for beginners and super-advanced
First Day in School |
All students receive an induction session on their first day in school. This includes a placement test(including writing, grammar and speaking) with their Head of EFL. You will also be briefed on student welfare issues such as opening a bank account and local knowledge of Leeds. |
Course Content |
Your course will include work on reading, writing, speaking & listening, as well as lots of vocabulary, grammar, & pronunciation. Teachers work from a primary set course book, with supplementary materials given to students as handouts. All course books are provided in class. |
Course Objectives |
The course is designed to address students' areas of weakness and improve their English language useage in the key areas of reading, writing, speaking & listening. |
Checking your progress |
Regular progress and revision tests are informally taken throughout your studies. Your teacher will aim to identify areas of weakness and prepare work to improve on these. Daily homework is set - usually including revision of the day's work. Students making a significant improvement in their English level will be moved up to a higher level. |

Their typical year-round school day follows the 10am - 4pm timetable. However, during busy times of the year the school operates a staggered timetable. Students may find themselves allocated an earlier (9am) or later (12pm) start, according to the timetables above. Students will be notified of their individual timetable after completing a level test.
Unfortunately they cannot guarantee which of the timetable options a student will receive until after they have completed a level test.
